I had the pleasure of assisting Tara and Joey with their lovely September wedding at Boettcher Mansion.  This is one of my favorite venues in the foothills of Colorado.  It has the perfect mix for many couples:  mountain-setting, elegant, close to Denver.  Tara incorporated a bird theme throughout her planning – now that’s something to tweet home about!

In the fall, we had the pleasure of planning a mountaintop ceremony in one of Colorado’s most beautiful towns: Telluride. Mother Nature set the stage with her mountain majesty and glorious fall weather. This stunning wedding was held at the Top of Lift 7 with reception immediately following at Allreds.  Amazing shots from Maureen Sullivan of Sullivan Studios in Boulder to follow…this is one from my point-and-click.

So, I’ve been wanting to change my company name. What is it with EVERY wedding industry person who seems to want to rebrand every two months?!?!?! We’re obsessed with details, perception and perfection – at least I am. Hence,  I decided “Events By Emily” was too colloquial, too folksy…just not quite right (not to mention, the real url is owned by the “Emily” in Texas who is a caterer and personal chef).  Anyway, my dear friend (and PR goddess), Meredith Bradford, and I brainstormed into the wee hours of 10pm one night in Telluride this past fall and came up with “Particulars” – and it stuck. Finally, in December, I went about making the change happen – and, thanks to the lovely and talented Christina Gressianu - photographer extraordinaire – here’s my new logo, new site, yadda yadda. I’ve never been a blogger. This feels a little Carrie Bradshaw…I dig.
